A few forum changes
Hey guys, I just want to bring to your attention a few changes here at the depot. 1. The non-metal depot is gone. I know a few of you liked that place and actually posted in it, but I'm afraid that we, the admins, decided that forum in general was too in-active to be worth our troubles of upkeeping it. So the Depot is back to being strictly metal. ;) 2. I've revamped the forum rules thread. Please take the time to re-read it, even if your a grimdepot veteran. We want everyone, old and new, to be on the same page. 3. In all this forum cleaning, I thought a new (bloodier) banner would be in order. :lol: Please let us know your thoughts on these changes, and anything else Depot related, we'd like getting your input. :D

The new banner is great!!!! Shame about the non-metal depot, but this is an extreme metal forum.. so, I'll just have to remain using my other sources :lol: Read the new rules, everything sounds good!

Like the banner. Not entirely new, but a good "face lift" haha.

Nice updating! I've read the rules; they sound good to me! Strict and simple, no bullshit. I like that! And as stated by the others, the updated banner is awesome! Thanks to the admins for keeping this place tight and up to date!

I was just posting in another thread about the banner, I think it's ace, and belongs on a tshirt! Grimdepot tshirts, with an extended version of the banner on the front, and the URL underneath, and/or across the back, so at gigs/pubs, other extreme metalheads can see it, and probably forget by the morning ;) Vin.

oh yeah always been wanting to ask, who's that guy on the banner? That's Mircea Gabriel Eftemie of Mnemic. He's also a hell of a graphic designer. He used to head up his own design spot, called CadaverMan Media, but I think that's gone under, sadly. Now, he works for iDesign, I want to say? Last I talked to him, he was busting his ass studying some really technical shit at school, and Mnemic was writing all this year & part of the next and their new album will be out in summer '09. We've been in talks about working on some new Mnemic stuff (I too, am a graphic designer), and he's just as humble and down to earth as ever. If there's ever been a cool, laid-back dude who just REEKS of metal onstage, it's Mircea.
