Good concerts?
Well guys this week i've been to some really good concerts and it just keeps getting better. On sunday i saw As Blood Runs Black play. Great show by the way. Yesterday i saw Amon Amarth, Himsa, and Sonic Syndicate. And today i get to see Lamb Of God, Devildriver, Soilwork, and Killswitch Engage. Just wanted to see if anyone else has been to some kick ass shows lately.

You luck bugger!! I've not been to a gig for ages, I was planning to see Dream Theater last month but missed it due to work commitments. I'm definitely not gonna miss Megadeth early next year when they tour the UK. Last gig I went to was the Damnation Festival in 2006 where I saw Send More Paramedics, Ephel Duath, The Haunted and the legendary Stampin' Ground's final UK show.

Went to see a festival in Ohio right after I moved there, saw Estuary, A Life Once Lost, Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore and Skeleton Witch. I especially liked Skeleton Witch and Estuary. Hated A Life Once Lost.

Its been a while since I went to a gig. The last I saw was Maiden in March. That was kickass !! Before that, I had been to Satyricon, Deicide, Testament, Kreator, COB, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce, Fear Factory, Devildriver, Black Label Society & the 2006 Australian leg of Gigantour gigs to name a few. :)

I saw Dream Theater not too long ago.. I regret it cus I was in the bathroom talking to my friend, and my brother calls me and I could understand him.. I walk back in, I missed the intro to a glass prison. I walked in on the last not and I was sooooooooooooooooooooo pissed. Apparently he played it properly for the very first time in man kind history    . Something I doubt I will ever see for a long time   :( :( :(

(It's funny because back when this show was here about two years ago i liked Trivium. Now i can't stand the band.) Last night the show was fucking amazing. To be honest i don't like Killswitch Engage all that much. But they play a great live show. They really know how to please a crowd. Plus live they sound so much more brutal than they really are. Devildriver was also amazing, this is the second time i've seen them play. They never dissappoint me. Soilwork played a good show, although i was a bit dissappointed because they didn't really play that many of their older songs. Although they did play Follow The Hollow. But damn i wish they would've played The Pittsburgh Syndrome from their new album. That song is the shit. Lamb Of God once again played a fucking awesome show. I've never seen a show so packed around here. There were about twice as many people as there was when Slayer came here. I'm with you on most of those bands Peter. Although i go to metal shows all the time. Well whenever a good one comes here at least. Just to name a few of the bands i've seen live.(Numbers in parenthesis is how many times i've seen them.) COB. Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth(3), Arch Enemy, Opeth, Into Eternity(2), Scar Symmetry, In Flames, Devildriver(2), Lamb Of God(3), Gwar(5), Darkest Hour, All That Remains, The Black Dhalia Murder, Sleep Terror, Arsis(3), All Shall Perish, The Faceless, As Blood Runs Black, Himsa(2), and Shadows Fall(2). This is really just a few over the past 3-4 years. I go to a show generally once a month if there is some good bands playing.

I'm not a huge Black Metal fan but next February... I get to see Rotting Christ! Should be intense. Arsis as well, and to to top off the month Nile and the Faceless. I'm psyched.

I'm hopefully going to go to Progressive Nation '08 when it comes to California, it should be pretty amazing: -Dream Theater -Opeth -3 -Between the Buried and Me I will definately be going to that too. The governor of Salt Lake City declared a day in july Dream Theater day last year. So i know they are definately going to come here. And they haven't announced the dates yet Farenheit.

That concert is a must for me, I love Opeth and Between the Buried and Me. I don't know who 3 is and Dream Theater is alright but I don't dig their singer/lyrics all that much.

Lol, just because i listen to Deathcore once in a while doesn't mean i don't listen to other stuff. Even though my favorite genre is Melodic Death/Metalcore, doesn't mean i don't like Technical Death, Death, and Black Metal. I just can't tolerate Brutal Death (Besides Quo Vadis),Hardcore(I can't stand real hardcore music unless it's got a little metalcore to it.), Or Grindcore bands. That kind of music doesn't interest me at all.

ProfessorChaos- 12-18-2007

I just saw Vader, Malevolent Creation, Cattle Decapitation, Light This City, Abigail Williams and Veil of Maya this past weekend. IT WAS AWESOME! Even though a couple of those bands weren't really who I went to see...Vader and Malevolent Creation were worth the price of admission by themselves.

damn you lucky bastard I wish I could see light this city.
