Wacken Open Air/Party San
Hey, were did the Wacken/Party San thread go? It's 16 days to Wacken, and counting! And I just can't fukkin' wait to go. We'll be arriving there Wednesday the 30th in the early morning, the camping opens at 08:00 h and we plan to be there then. This weekend we'll be checking our crease vehicle (lights and all) and next weekend we're going to buy the beer and food for the campsite. And then it's only a few days wait until we leave :D! Any more Wacken visiters here? I already know DjNeo is going, already done preparing man? I can imagine that you'll have to leave for Wacken a few day's earlier than us because of the (much) longer trip and all. Already anxious to go?

Just got my accreditation but I'm touring in USA for about 3 weeks now and there is 2 weeks left, I'm from Canada. I'm fucked because I though I won't get the accreditation so I didn't prepare my shit for the trip(tents, sleeping bag, plane tickets, train tickets etc).

Damn man, that's fucked indeed! And there's no way you can get this shit done in time? It would be aweful for you if you're going to miss out on a couple of the best party's here in Europe!

I'm pissed off just by missing At The Gates in Montreal because I'm on tour with Kataklysm. I don't know what to do, I could take a plane from Chicago and paying the full amount but I will be dead broke overthere...:(

Only 11 days to Wacken! Aren't there more people who'll visit this Metal Heaven?

Damn WOA 2008 was fukkin' awesome! I've seen some very sick gigs, met some very cool people and drank a shitload of beer! Also the weather was nice! WOA 2009, which will be the 20th anniversary of the festival, here I come! Was I really the only one from here who visited Wacken last week?

I'm stuck at home, dammit!! So there was no rain at the Wacken, good! I heard that people were stucked in one entrance because they didn't know there was 2 other entrance to acces the main site, hehehe... Can't beleive I will miss also PSOA and Brutal Assault, fuck! I might be there for next year! At least I saw Testament in Montreal yesterday and next month, Carcass with Suffocation. Just missed At The Gates, I'm crying right now...

Yeah, the summer slaughter tour in USA was fun. All cool bands, we laught alot... I will be on the Kataklysm/Dying Fetus North American tour this fall and after KATAKLYSM will do Europe with Morbid Angel in late Nov/Dec. So I will be in Europe this year. Go support the band at the Brutal Assault in 2 weeks, Czech Rep!

I will hopefully attend WOA 2009... if all goes according to plan, next summer I will spend a month in The Netherlands, and during that trip I will also go to Germany to see Wacken. :D

@DjNeo: Awesome stuff man! I hope to be attending the Morbid Angel+Kataklysm+Marduk+Keep of Kalessin+Arsis gig in Amsterdam the 21 of December! I'll do my best, but there are some more interesting gigs and my girlfriend is going to give birth to our first child the 10 of October. So I'm afraid we won't be able to attend them all, but this one is at the top of my list! @Alecmetal: Sounds good man! Awesome! You definetily won't regret it!

Got news from a couple friends who have been at WOA, lots of good comments... Tom, the 21st of dec might be the last date of the tour I think. Good luck for your upcoming progeniture.

Neo, when that Kataklysm North American tour gets underway, will you be at Peabody's (provided there's a Cleveland date... I haven't seen if dates have even been announced yet)? If so, I'll buy you a beer if you're there.
